Facebook Applications Look Ugly

I just want to say am not an expert by any means in web development or programming . I barely know any html tags. So I don't know much about facebooks API. Though I really like facebook's user interface, but I hate most of the facebook applications out there, because they don't look as clean. Which too me it seems that they might not be motivating their developers to go for that clean look. Bu I really don't know. I do know that a well though out API always helps. For example all the applications I have seen for the itouch/iphone look really pretty. Also most applications(that have seen) written in cocoa for mac os never really look to bad. I hope they do something to get developer to write some awesome stuff!

Is nintendo looking the other way?

Everyone knows that the iphone is capable of playing video games. I have seen the some of the games and they seem intriging, how they use the big touch screen and the accelerometer. The iphone seems like a very capable gaming platform. Which makes me wonder after reading the article Nintendo kills Duck Hunt for iPhone, dog laughs on ars technia. What nintendo going to do about the popularity of the iphone and the itouch. I have also seen the article on Tech Radar talking about the new nintendo DSi, and from what I understood from the article it seems that this is just a nintendo ds with a slightly upgraded graphics chipset that happens to come with a larger screen and a camera. It's also been given the capablity to play music. Other than on the price front, how is nintendo going to create a better platform to make games on. DSi got it's pen and it's camera, and the iphone's got it's touch and it's accerometer, and all those applications on the app store that give the iphone/itouch more features. Apple's got a strong platform. So it makes me wonder what nintendos plans are, and if they see the iphone/itouch as a threat.
